EDUCATIONAL AIMS

  • Sophia Convent School, Kalka is an Educational Institution administered by the Mission Sisters of Ajmer. It is a Christian Minority Institution, established by the Shimla-Chandigarh Educational Society, Chandigarh in the year 1975. This school is under the Religious jurisdiction of the Catholic Bishop of Shimla Chandigarh Diocese.
  • This is an English Medium School for boys and girls and the course of studies is planned to lead up to the All-India Secondary School Examination, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.), New Delhi.
  • The school imparts education to the Catholic Community around and extends its service to the members of other communities to the extent possible.
  • The school offers ample opportunities to every student to participate in school and inter-school contests in every field which enable students to win awards. Regular computer classes are held from class I to prepare the students for Computer Age.
  • The school aims at an all-round training for students to enable them to be spiritually oriented, morally upright, intellectually well informed, socially concerned, nationally conscious, appreciative of their culture, emotionally balanced and physically well developed.
